"A picture is worth a thousand words" refers to the notion that a complex idea can be conveyed with a single image. This is powerful because in film we show twenty-four images or frames every second. What's most important to us as visual storytellers is that each of those frames represents an opportunity to connect with an audience. That connection is what keeps people engaged and watching.
We are passionate about creating content that audiences connect with on an emotional level. To affect the feelings of an audience is an art. As filmmakers, we combine the disciplines of cinematography and sound design in its humble pursuit.

DOCUMENTARIES
We started an exciting new project with Linda Cruse, frontline humanitarian, to produce/direct a documentary film about Race4Good - a 'hand up' revolution birthed to tackle life-threatening challenges in devastated communities around the globe. The very first Race4Good in the U.S. was held in Los Angeles in the spring of 2017 and took us all to a remote village of Thangdor in Nepal, which was devastated by the 2015 earthquake and which needed a hand up for an economic uplift.

Watch our award winning documentary Jax! We filmed it in 2012 for a film school class assignment. At the time, Jackie was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and given a few months to live. As of July 23, 2017, Jackie is cancer-free.
DESERT MEDICINE
A GROUNDBREAKING DOCUMENTARY FILM IN POST-PRODUCTION
Desert Medicine follows don Lorenzo Archuleta (“Grandfather Lench”), a Native American medicine man, and his guest – Lyndsay, during a five-day spiritual retreat in an Arizona desert. Grandfather Lench is a Vietnam war veteran who vowed to move people in the direction of peace and balance after spending a year and a half in combat. In the late 80s, he began taking people out to the desert where, with the use of indigenous medicine – storytelling, rituals, and ceremonies, he has facilitated spiritual awakenings. The film documents Grandfather Lench’s work with Lyndsay – a young woman who has been struggling with elusive memories of sexual abuse in childhood, unexplained physical pain and illnesses, and a persistent tug-of-war between what’s real and what’s imagined.

I'm Rita Ciolek, Founder and Creative Director of Kazia Productions (click here for bio). Teamwork and collaboration are at the forefront of everything we do because I believe that effective teams deliver high quality product set within the agreed upon parameters (like your budget). We work with a talented team of storytellers, writers, cinematographers, sound designers, VFX artists - whatever your needs for the story, we will assemble a team that will execute your creative vision. We do our work in three phases:
- Pre-Production: This is the phase during which we work together with the client to create an engaging story. It includes script development and the creation of any visuals like storyboards that help to pre-visualize what the story would look like on the screen.
- Production: Casting, location scouting, crew assembly, shooting - we've got this under control.
- Post-Production: Editing picture, sound design, special effects, color correction. We provide digital files in formats that suit your needs for online posting and/or broadcasting.
